*Used at NIH and many higher institutions and private companies, My lab is the perfect app for lab data storage*
* New version now includes ability to Save PDF protocols*

With My Lab, your iPAD is now a lab notebook, protocols organizer, lab inventory and much more.
My lab was conceptualized and developed under the scientific expertise of Mahendra Rao MD PhD and Hue Medscience. My lab is a customizable app that lets you keep your lab data private and enables sharing of the content you want enabling full control of your files.
My Lab also includes direct access to Dropbox to store your files for easy access from anywhere.

*Key Features
Protocols - Add your Protocols to the template CSV file included in the app. This file is transferred to the app via itunes file transfer and organized in the app. You may include a sample image (Representative Blot etc) to go with your protocol. With a click of a button, your protocols are added to the Lab notebook in the app and filed under its category with date and time. Search, Email, Print or Save individual protocols and share as needed. You may even edit protocols within the app.

Inventory – Similar to protocols a template CSV file is provided for inventory. After adding your supplies this file can be uploaded to the app via itunes file transfer. In the app all the lab reagents are organized by categories. Add details including Manufacturer, location in the lab, Date purchased, Price etc. Create an order sheet of reagents and email it straight from your app.

*PLEASE ADD A PROTOCOL TO THE NOTEBOOK BEFORE USING ANY OF ITS FEATURES*

Notebook – No need to write the whole protocol for each experiment. With a click this can be added to the notebook from your protocol and edited according to the current experiment. That’s not all, you can type additional notes and even use freehand to scribble any details you like. Even add an image (results?) within the notebook. Each experiment is filed under categories including date and time. Search for data within the notebook by text or by dates. Print or email selected pages to share results.

Catalog – Provides a directory of many biotech companies including links to their websites, phone, fax numbers and emails. Also includes a direct access to search engine and Protocolpedia.

Calculators – Useful lab calculators including Dilution, Molarity, Oligo Resuspension and PCR mastermix calculator. Calculators are accessible from the Protocols and Notebook pages.
Orders – Add multiple users within the Orders page. Placing orders is simple by selecting reagents needed by any user from the Inventory page. This creates an order sheet in CSV format that can be emailed or printed.

Designed and recommended primarily for the ipad, My lab also works for the iphone and ipod (excluding Notebook feature).
